Q: What is the difference between the price plans? Is the product
different?
A: Regardless of which price plan you choose, the product remains
the same. Our pricing plans offer you greater flexibility with regards
to your cash-flow. You may also optionally subscribe to our recovery service
for an additional monthly fee.
Q: What is the difference between this system and others?
A: The iTrack Live fleet management solution provides 90% of the
features you would use for half the price, and our system is web-based, therefore
you can track your vehicles from anywhere in the world. There is no contract,
as you pay month-to-month. iTrack Live is the easiest to use fleet management
solution in South Africa. We pride ourselves in our service delivery and commitment
to constant innovation - if there’s a feature that our vehicle tracking and
fleet management system lacks that you want for your business, we’ll work
hard to implement it for you.
Q: Where can you do installations?
A: We perform installations at your premises at no additional cost.
We can do installations in all the major centres in South Africa. More outlying
areas may incur a callout fee. Contact us for a quotation to compare costs.
Q: When can you do an installation? How long does it take?
A: We can typically do same-day or next-day installations in major
cities, but it will depend on stock levels, as well as how busy your particular
installation centre is. Installations of our vehicle tracking equipment typically
take about 30 minutes. We can do installations after hours or on weekends
at no extra cost.
Q: Do I get all the features described on the website as part of
my monthly fee?
A: Yes, your monthly fee covers all the features seen on the iTrack
Live website. Unlimited use of all of the vehicle tracking and fleet management
features are included with this price. The only exception is SMS alerts for
which we charge R1 per SMS sent. This is a feature you would have to enable
and it is clearly explained to you when you do this.
Q: Are there any additional costs for this vehicle tracking system?
A: See above.
Q: I just want a vehicle tracking device for insurance. Should I
choose iTrack Live?
A: The iTrack Live product is a fleet management solution, which
means we do a lot more than just recover your vehicle if it is stolen. We
can show you on a map where your vehicle has been, what speeds it has been
driving at and where it has parked. iTrack Live does not offer a 'recovery
only' product, so if you do not need the car tracking and fleet management
features we offer as standard, you may find that we are not as competitive
in price.
Q: How many vehicles do I need to have in my fleet to get a discount?
A: Discounts are given for fleets with three or more vehicles. As
your fleet expands, we will offer you further discounts on new purchases.

Q: Are the vehicle movements constantly recorded? How long do you
keep records of my vehicles' movements?
A: The past activities of your vehicles are stored on our servers
for more than three months, at a 15 second resolution, allowing you to see
everything that has happened since then. We guarantee three months of historical
positioning but typically never delete your data.
Q: How often does the site update with the vehicle's location?
A: The system is real-time tracking and updates every 15 seconds.
Q: Where is the unit installed? Will the driver or a thief be able
to remove it easily?
A: The unit is installed in a way that makes it difficult to find.
As each vehicle is different, our installers will find a hidden position that
works in your vehicle. There are no long antennas that can be traced back
to the tracking device.
Q: Do you install in motorbikes?
A: Unfortunately we do not install in motorbikes.
Q: Where does the iTrack Live product come from, is it imported?
A: The iTrack Live product has been designed and commercialised entirely
in-house in South Africa. We do not employ any third party hardware and because
we control our product completely, it makes us flexible enough to customise
our product to our clients' specifications. All manufacturing of our vehicle
tracking devices is performed in South Africa to the highest quality standards.
